Our Campaign & Core Mandate

We focus strictly on what the community can control: providing Junior Lifeguard equipment, funding safety rashguards, and designing alternative bay training systems. We are not advocates or lobbyists; we are local mothers and watermen preparing children for safe coastline operations.

Founder & Executive Director

Kimberly is a Coronado resident, mother of two, and Cornell Executive MBA student (kal267@cornell.edu). She brings business strategy, marketing experience, and financial planning skills to lead CBG's operational growth and community partnerships. She approaches startup challenges with courage and a clear focus on the youth community.

Coronado local, mother, and PR executive. Formerly established the non-profit arm for the X-Games, advising on strategic scaling.

Transparency Commitment: CBG's Founder Kimberly Lujan is married to a seasonal Coronado Beach Lifeguard & Lead Junior Lifeguard Instructor. To ensure proper governance, we declare that all raised funds benefit the public and youth ocean programs exclusively, with zero financial benefit to her husband. He holds no financial control over CBG, and all funding decisions are made by the board without his involvement.

IRS Filing Status

Status: Pending Filing. Early donations and memberships are not tax-deductible until the IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status determination is approved. We will issue retroactive tax-receipts upon approval.

CA Seller's Permit & Sales Tax

Permit: CDTFA Registration. CBG tracks and remits California state sales tax at the 7.5% San Diego County rate quarterly for all merchandise sales, managed by our CPA.

Secure Data: We adhere to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We require opt-in consent, never sell donor data, and process all online donations via secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways.
